Willow is a ball jointed doll of my own design. I have been working on her on and off for several years, and her design has evolved quite a bit over time. I hope to have her cast in resin soon.
My first attempt at sculpting her, done in paperclay and partially strung up.
After some careful research about jointing and anatomy, I redrew her blueprint and sent it to a skilled 3d artist to prototype.
Digi Dolls did a great job with the prototype sculpt and I was able to get her sanded and strung up!
She's come a long way, but I will be resculpting and modifying her file quite a bit before she is exactly the way I envisioned.
Goo is a 17" monster high doll that I completely restyled by stripping her factory paint and hair, and then giving her inset eyes, new hair, new clothes and new accessories.
I started by removing all her factory paint and hair.
I repainted her face and body and added dimensional glue to her "drips" to make them more defined.
I made her a new dress and cut up and painted some old doll shoes to make her new ones. This is also when I added her new eyes.
Finally, I gave her a mask made of cardboard and wall putty to complete her radioactive look.
